ENGIE, the leading energy and services provider, today announces the launch of its home energy business in the UK. ENGIE will offer UK customers the opportunity to buy great value energy plans backed by a commitment to clear communication and excellent customer service. In keeping with its focus on combining energy with services, ENGIE also today outlines its plans to bring new Connected Home innovations to UK customers and extend its home energy propositions to communities through its existing work with local authorities across the UK.

ENGIE’s home energy business has been developed organically for today’s customers. Drawing on ENGIE’s international expertise to ensure an effective and highly competitive range of products, the home energy business has been designed to provide an excellent experience to customers at every stage of the customer journey. Key aspects of ENGIE’s customer proposition include:
- Rollover promise – commitment to switch customers to cheapest tariff at end of fixed term
ENGIE is the first UK supplier to commit to rolling customers onto the cheapest available tariff. ENGIE’s commitment is to contact all customers before their fixed term plan ends to communicate their options. If the customer does not respond then they will automatically be moved onto a price equivalent to the cheapest available ENGIE product, with no exit fees if they then decide to change their plan.
- ENGIE Tracker – a new innovative plan that will offer truly market reflective pricing
ENGIE Tracker has been designed to align retail and wholesale prices like never before, reflecting the wholesale price changes in the price customers’ pay. This product aligns customer bills with the real price of energy, bringing a new level of price fairness and transparency to UK customers that they have not had access to before. The tariff updates prices on a monthly basis, which provides a high level of price variability whilst protecting customers from day-to-day fluctuations. The product will be made available to UK customers in Summer 2017.
ENGIE is an energy and services business with a focus on investment in new digital technologies. With its home energy business, ENGIE will bring new digital innovations to the UK market and integrate the latest technologies with its products to make them accessible and affordable. - ENGIE Control – making connected and smart technologies accessible
The first product in this range, ENGIE Control, provides a smart heating control system and installation with a competitive three year fixed price energy deal.
ENGIE is one of the leading partners to councils, cities and communities across the UK and provides an extensive range of services to local authorities across the country. It has also recently acquired the regeneration business of Keepmoat, the UK’s leading provider of regeneration services specialising in the design, refurbishment and upgrade of buildings and places. The home energy business will extend ENGIE’s opportunities for engagement with local communities, helping local authorities provide cost-effective, reliable energy schemes to residents and provide the platform to reduce fuel poverty and improve community energy services.
- Renewable focus – 100% renewable electricity at no extra cost
ENGIE believes the environment is central to the community and all of ENGIE’s plans offer 100% renewable electricity at no extra cost. ENGIE’s 100% Green tariff is one of few plans available in the UK to guarantee 100% green gas and electricity. For all customers that sign up to the Green tariff, ENGIE will also make a donation to a community initiative scheme that invests in local sustainability projects.
