ENGIE and MOPAC win PFM Partners in Corporate Award
ENGIE and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) have won the Partners in Corporate category in the PFM 2020 Partnership Awards. The awards took place on Wednesday 17 March 2021, in a virtual ceremony hosted by PFM Magazine editor Dennis Flower.
This award-winning contract has seen ENGIE provide 13 years of continuous service delivery to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).
During this time, ENGIE has delivered a wide range of facilities management services to the MPS estate, through a strong partnership that was clearly recognised by the PFM Awards judges. At the heart of the partnership is mutual trust and respect, underpinned by a willingness to ‘go the extra mile’, as illustrated by ENGIE’s proactive support of MPS in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
ENGIE has also been instrumental in supporting MPS’ sustainability commitments through a number of carbon reduction initiatives.
Wayne Goldsmith, Sector Managing Director at ENGIE, commented: “Of particular note within this contract is the trust and strategic alignment that has been built between ENGIE and MPS, which I feel sure was a major factor in our winning this award. We have embraced MPS’ vision, values and strategy through an agile approach which has enabled us to constantly adapt services in line with the wide range of challenges that policing London inevitably throws up.”
Martin Joel, MPS Head of Commercial, Contract and Finance, added: “Our trust in ENGIE’s service delivery has enabled us to focus on core objectives and we appreciate everything they do for us helping to keep London safe. One very obvious example of this is ENGIE vital role in ensuring the MPS Estate has remained operational with minimal disruption to operational policing during the Covid-19 pandemic.”
