ENGIE teams redeploy to provide lockdown support

20th May 2020

The Covid-19 lockdown has seen many people stepping up the plate and supporting those in need.

They include ENGIE’s teams supporting councils and local communities, many of whom have been redeployed to provide deliveries of food and medication.

ENGIE has partnerships with 15 local authorities and is liaising closely with clients to make the best use of the resources available. For example, on our Qwest joint partnership with Cheshire west and Chester council, maintenance staff have switched to delivery of welfare boxes and other essentials.

This pattern has been repeated across the communities that we support, with ENGIE staff often changing work patterns and extending their hours to make sure nobody misses out.

ENGIE’s Covid-19 support work throughout Cheshire has been covered more extensively in The Guardian newspaper.
