ENGIE to provide combined energy and services for Grant Thornton
Services covered by ENGIE’s long-standing FM contract with leading accountancy consultants Grant Thornton have been extended to include energy, through ENGIE Assure - which guarantees a minimum 5% reduction in energy costs each year. This is achieved through a comprehensive range of innovative energy efficiency and optimisation measures.
ENGIE has also been awarded the electricity supply contract for Grant Thornton sites from October 2018. The contract has a 24-month contractual consumption of 10GWh, which will be generated by renewable energy sources, as certified through the Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) scheme and/or the Guarantee of Origin (GOO) scheme.
These latest contract extensions reflect the success of a relationship that extends back to 2009, when ENGIE won the initial contract, having identified opportunities for cost savings and improvements to FM service quality, consistency and compliance. Since that time, the contract has enabled Grant Thornton to focus on its core business activities, whilst the ENGIE team has concentrated on driving efficiencies and adding value.
During this time the contract has delivered over £2m worth of aggregated savings.
Steven Hart, Head of Property at Grant Thornton, said: “We are delighted to add these additional ENGIE services to our existing and long running total facilities management contract. We are looking forward to working with the wider ENGIE team and enjoying the benefits that they will deliver.”
ENGIE’s Nicola Lovett, Divisional CEO Business Energy & Services, commented: “These latest additions to the contract reflect our commitment to continual improvement and working with Grant Thornton to identify areas where we can add value through innovation. They also underscore the real partnership approach that characterises this relationship and has helped Grant Thornton meet its corporate and social responsibilities.”
