I’m leaving my property, how do I transfer my FIT account to the new tenants?

All we require from yourself is a photo of the meter on the day you move out, so we can produce a final bill – please send this to fit.enquiry@engie.com. The new tenants will need to email fit.enquiry@engie.com to set up the new FIT installation in their name. They will need to provide us with the following documents, so please ensure that they have everything that we require:

  • Photo of meter on the day they moved in along with the date
  • MCS/ROO-FIT certificates
  • EPC certificates
  • Proof of identity (e.g. driving license, ideally of the owner)
  • Proof of ownership of the solar panels/property (e.g. a letter of authority)

Can you make changes to my account?

Yes, but please email these changes to fit.enquiry@engie.com. Please note, the fitmeterreadings@engie.com email is reserved for quarterly reads only.

Can I enrol on the scheme?

The Feed-in tariff scheme closed to new applicants on 1st April 2019, so you will not be eligible for this scheme. The only buy-back scheme is the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) which was set up from 1st April 2020 (https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/environmental-and-social-schemes/smart-export-guarantee-seg). Engie are not currently an SEG supplier, though you can find a list of licensees here: https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/seg-supplier-list.
