How does our Graduate programme work?

You’ll get stuck into a genuinely varied experience, rotating across different teams and working on real projects alongside industry experts. Over two years, you’ll complete four six-month rotations – three within your home Global Business Unit (GBU) and one in a completely different part of ENGIE UK, giving you the opportunity to explore the business, build your network, and see how everything connects.

We’ll encourage you to share your interests and career ambitions along the way and, while placements are shaped by business need, we’ll take these preferences into account wherever possible. You’ll join a GBU from day one, and subject to performance, this is where your long‑term role will be based, giving you a clear home and a strong foundation for your future at ENGIE.

What’s it like being a Graduate at ENGIE UK?

Whichever ENGIE graduate programme you join, you’ll be part of real work from the start-contributing to projects that support the energy transition and learning how different parts of the business come together. Along the way, you’ll build practical skills, gain confidence in a professional environment, and form strong connections with colleagues across teams.

We know that moving from student life into your first role is a big change, so we aim to be clear and supportive about how we work. Many ENGIE graduate roles follow a hybrid approach, with time spent both in the office and working remotely, including a minimum of two days a week on site to collaborate and learn together. Some programmes – particularly hands-on engineering and operational roles – are fully site based, reflecting the nature of the work. Whichever path you’re on, expectations are clear from the outset, and you’ll be supported to settle in, learn fast and thrive.
